This photomontage shows one phase of the proposed superquarry at Lingerbay,
near Rodel on Harris in the Western Isles of Scotland. A similar photomontage
was prepared as a hand painting commissioned by us for Scottish Natural
Heritage to use at the Public Inquiry. Later, we created the photomontage shown
here afresh using our own computer techniques. Friends of the Earth distributed
10,000 copies of this image as postcards in support of their campaign opposing
the quarry. The application was rejected by the Scottish Environment Minister
in November 2000.
