These images are parts of two independent studies carried out on the same stretch of overhead power line. The photo shows an existing line scheduled for replacement. The photomontage with lattice towers shows what the visual effect would be if the line were replaced using a current standard tower design. The photomontage with the tubular tripod masts shows a design of tower developed by a student at Glasgow College of Art in conjunction with ScottishPower. In each case, the perspecive matching and route modelling were carried out using Envision's own software. The lattice towers were rendered with Envision software but the tripod masts were rendered with Caligari trueSpace. |
