| This example is a fly-through of the proposed
Farr wind farm near Inverness, produced for National Wind Power. The scene consists of a a series of wind turbines standing on top of a digital ground model. Ideally, we would have used vertical aerial photographs as the ground texture, but these were not available for the site. Instead we produced a composite of OS map data, colouring to show altitude, satellite imagery and shading effects. (The map produced to do this is one of the examples on the mapping page.) The individual frames were rendered in Caligari trueSpace, assembled into sequences with VideoMach and edited and titled using EditStudio. The version of the video on this site is reduced to half the image size and half the frame rate and is very heavily compressed for web delivery. The original version was produced to broadcast resolution and frame fate. |
